IMPORTANCE OF PET DENTAL Care

How often do you check your furry friend’s molars? Did you know that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three have some form of dental disease? Dental disease can be painful for your pets: if left untreated the process to clean or remove teeth can grow complicated.

Dental health is central to your companion’s overall health and here at (insert practice name), we are committed to providing excellent dental care. We offer full-scale dental care from x-rays to extractions—if needed.

Signs of dental disease include:

  • Bad breath
  • Loose teeth
  • Bleeding or inflamed gums
  • Excessive drooling
  • Facial swelling

As with humans, brushing daily can help control the build-up of plaque however, human toothbrushes and toothpaste are not recommended for pets. Specially made dog and cat toothbrushes do exist, as does chicken
and beef-flavoured toothpaste.
