SABRINA

Veterinary Assistant

Sabrina is a Veterinary Assistant at Fisher Glen, where she brings her lifelong passion for animals to her work every day. She graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program at Algonquin College in 2013 and earned a degree in Environmental Studies in 2015.

At home, Sabrina has a unique and loving family of pets. Poppy is her double red merle border collie who was born blind and deaf, but don’t let that fool you! Poppy has the best nose in Ottawa and often follows it into playful trouble. Sabrina also cares for her tabby cat, Petunia, who loves to roll on her back for belly rubs; Posie, her partially blind Maine Coon mix, who enjoys playing fetch with crinkle balls; and Bamboo, her polydactyl cat, who loves riding on her shoulders like a parrot.

Sabrina cherishes Ottawa’s walking paths, often taking Poppy along for strolls. Recognized for her dedication, Sabrina won the 2023 and 2024 Faces Magazine awards for Admin of the Year and holds a Fear Free certification. She also has a deep love for Halloween and enjoys spending cozy time at home with her little family.
