OSCR Profile: Dunder and Mifflin Are Up For Adoption!

Dunder: Female, DSH Black, Mifflin: Female, DMH Black. Est DOB July 9, 2018.

Meet Dunder and Mifflin! Fans of The Office have likely guessed that these two are named after everybody’s favourite Scranton paper supplier, Dunder Mifflin! Dunder and Mifflin are healthy, outgoing and playful kittens looking for a loving forever home.

Dunder is an affectionate and gentle little cat who loves chasing toys and getting cuddles from her foster family. Mifflin takes a little time to warm up to people, but once she gets to know you she just loves to sit in your lap and soak up lots of love and attention. She has an injury which she is healing from at the moment, but she is a little trooper and she doesn’t let it stop her from playing in paper bags and wrestling with her sister.

Dunder and Mifflin are super close, and could be adopted separately or together. Both are wonderful, outgoing kittens. They are litter trained and great with children and other pets.

OSCR Profile: Si and Am Are Up For Adoption!

Si and Am: Both Female, DSH Black, est DOB Feb 10, 2018.

Meet Si and Am! Si and Am had a little bit of a tough start in life. They were rescued together, the pair of them having been living in the woods through the warm days and the very cold. Luckily a kind rescuer found them and took them inside! When they first arrived at their foster home they were a little scared and a lot shy. However, since then they’ve really come out of their shells! They very much enjoy daily treats, pets, and lots of cuddles with their new human companions!

These two have been together through thick and thin, and it really shows! They are very sweet, and they absolutely adore one other. Practically inseparable, they are constantly together around the house. That’s why their current foster Mum thinks the ideal situation would be one where they can be adopted together. We’re hoping that with enough shares we can find somebody with a big heart and space enough for these inseparable sisters!

Si is adventurous and playful; the more outgoing of the two. She just loves to play with her toys! Am is a little more shy than her sister, and takes a bit longer to warm up to new people. During her first couple weeks in foster care, it was her sister Si who largely encouraged her to open up more to her new foster family and to explore the great indoors! After a month in their foster home, we can say with confidence that with just a little patience, these two make the perfect pets!

WHAT’S NEW: FISHER GLEN AT THE OTTAWA HUMANE SOCIETY!

What’s New: Our Day Volunteering At The Ottawa Humane Society

The team at Fisher Glen Animal Hospital recently spent the day volunteering at the Ottawa Humane Society on November 4th to help out some animals in need! We here at Fisher Glen greatly admire the Ottawa Humane Society and all the amazing work they do for animals. We were proud to volunteer our veterinary services for a such a good cause! Above all, we loved helping some adorable cats get one step closer to becoming adopted by a loving forever family!

Having local veterinarians donate their time can really help the Humane Society deal with backlogs of pets at their facility. Once a veterinarian completes a pet’s surgery, that pet is almost ready for immediate adoption. Throughout the day our team did twenty spay and neuter surgeries, as well as two dental procedures. It was a fun day and our team worked like a well-oiled machine. We’ve even begun dubbing it the 2018 spay-and-neuter-a-thon!

The Ottawa Humane Society is a non-profit, community-based organization and a registered charity. They are the leading organization who provide a safe haven for sick, injured and homeless animals in Ottawa. If you’d like to learn more about local animals in need, check out their page on Adoption at the Ottawa Humane Society! You can browse pictures and learn more about all kinds of animals currently in need of a forever home. Who knows – you just might find a new little buddy who’s a perfect fit!
