Kayla joined the Fisher Glen Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant after graduating from Algonquin College’s Veterinary Assistant Program in 2025. She brings her hands-on experience from working at an animal boarding facility and grooming salon while completing her studies.

Kayla‘s passion for animal care began at home growing up with a loving beagle, and an energetic dachshund. He joined the family shortly before the passing of their 15-year-old beagle, deepening Kayla‘s appreciation for the care and compassion senior pets deserve.

Inspired by her lifelong love for animals, and firsthand experience caring for pets at every stage of life, Kayla is excited to support both patients and their families. Outside of the clinic, Kayla enjoys staying active, travelling and exploring new destinations whenever she can.
